Drugstore Eyeshadow Palettes

I am trying to cut down my spending this year and save where I can.  I still love to watch Beauty Gurus on Youtube (BTW I am currently looking at reviews for clip in hair extensions got any recommendations please comment below).  Lately the reviews have been geared toward drugstore finds.  I have purchased 2 of them to add to my depleted eyeshadows instead of buying the MAC ones I love.  Here they are and share any that you love as well.

1. Wet and Wild Sweet as Candy Eyeshadow Trio:  2.99

Wet 'n' Wild Sweet as Candy Eyeshadow Trio

I love these colors together.  They go on best over a base and look great with my Revlon Shadow Stick I previously reviewed.  They have great lasting power, don't crease up on the lid, and blend really easily.

Here is my favorite YouTube Guru using it :)

2. Wet and Wild Petal Pusher: 4.99
Love this palette because it has some really beautiful pink and purples.  That is my favorite color family to use on my eyes.  I also purchsed a CoverGirl Shadow stick very similar to my Revlon one to use when I need a dark purple in the crease.  I am very pleased with these shades.

CoverGirl Smoky Shadow Blast Shadow Stick, Purple Plum: 8.49

Overall I still love my MAC eyeshadows but have found some shades that fill those spots.

Dreaded Static Hair

The weather here has finally turned cold, and when it gets cold my hair gets really dry.  I suffer from static in my hair which drives me nuts.  I don't wear certain clothes in the winter because I know my hair will fly high from them.  Last time when I was getting my hair colored and cut and talked to my hairdresser about it.  She told me that static comes from my hair being too dry and not having enough moisturizer in it.  What I have been trying lately is to make sure the shampoo's and conditioners I use are not too drying for my hair.  I have switched to Pantene Hair Products after watching a show on Kyle Richards and she swears by Pantene.  I have noticed my hair is shiny and full of volume.  So I use the moisturizing line for fine hair and the age expert.  I just rotate back and forth.  I still swear by the It's a 10 leaving in conditioner.  I have used that for about 3 years now and can tell a difference the times I have tried to give it up.   I am adding a new mousse style product by Pantene.  It's from the moisture line and it's the moisture whip leave in styling product.  I will let you know how I like it.  What do you do for static???

Drugstore loves :)

I wanted to share a few of my favorite drugstore items right now.  I have been using these for about 2 months and use them every day.

1.  Maybelline Fit Me Concealor: Medium 25: 6.50

I love the consistency of this and it stays all day long.  It keeps my under eye area looking great and takes the redness out of my nose area.

2. Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer: Radiant: 8.00

This is fantastic for an under the eye highlighter.  I put this on last and it gives me such a nice finish.  It's gel based so it doesn't dry out on my under eye area.

3. Revlon Color Stay Smoky Shadow Stick: Torch: 9.00

This has changed the look of my eyeshadow.  I love the pink color on my lid and the darker color on my outer corner.  I then apply my eyeshadow right over top and love the outcome.

4.  Covergirl eye enhancer: Shimmering Sands: 5.00

This is a great eyeshadow set.  They have great pigment and blend really well together.  Looks great over the Shadow Stick

5.  St Ives Timeless Skin: Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer: 6.00

Product Details

I have used moisturizers that cost 80 dollars a jar and some that cost 5.  I saw that Dr Oz recommended this one from St Ives.  I went out and got a jar because my old one was done and I didn't want to pay 40 dollars again.  I am trying to be a little better with my money this year.  I have a post coming soon for one of my bucket items that I finally saved up for :).  Back to the moisturizer, I love this stuff.  I have very dry skin and this does the trick for me.  My face doesn't feel dry or tight.
